Hossegor attracts everyone from around the world and in France surfing is not only a sport but also a way of life.

The beaches of Hossegor are worldwide renown for their golden like beaches and great surf conditions which are wonderful all year round , but most crowded in the summer months.
The small town of Hossegor has now become the European surf capital.
The reputation of Hossegor surf spots spread very quickly by word of mouth throughout the surf world. Surfers came from all over the world to surf Hossegor beach to spend time on the coast of les Landes and try out this magical wave called “Hossegor wave”.
The enthusiasm and experience of these passionate surfers has greatly contributed to the development of a new generation of totally committed grommets/ youngsters to the sport of kings.
The local surf conditions in Hossegor have favorable conditions all year which is why Hossegor, home away from home for most surfers, has become the European surf capital.
Hossegor, land of contrasts and character, that models and shapes its natural heritage. 7 kms of beach lie between the lake and the ocean.
Its our most important treasure - natures environment. Therefore we look after it and tend it. Respect it.
It is with great thanks to the work of man and not just nature that les Landes has become the largest forest in Europe, a genuine breath of fresh air like being in the country, but on the Atlantic coastline.
In the XIXth century and following the orders of Napoleon III the deserted marshlands were taken over by an ocean of pine trees. The marshes were drained and from then on the pine tree was cultivated. Since then the forest has played an important role in the economy, first of all with the tapping of the resin, then with the lumber industry. The forest of Hossegor is made up of four main varieties – mostly the pine tree, but also the common oak, the cork tree and the strawberry tree – and is not lacking in charm. The resort plays on the reputation of the forest – majestic and hospitable. The main characteristic of this garden-city is that it has preserved its natural heritage and created a town in the forest.
The Hossegor beaches are renowned for their cleanliness -
Is there anything more agreeable all year round than these endless oceans of sand? The town of Hossegor works relentlessly in order to offer its residents these beautiful beaches.
This is a ‘bikers welcome’ coastal town with more than 40 kilometres of cycle tracks in and around the town. 163 km of cycle tracks across Les Landes - making it the longest track in France.
Bicycle fans will appreciate this lovely track that follows the sea front and crosses through the towns Capbreton, Hossegor & Seignosse.
The Hossegor lake was formed by a capricious river straying from its course and then made famous by writers, and is one of the treasures of the Côte d’argent – an asset that is vital for the town of Hossegor.
7 Kms of beaches (surf peak after surf peak)
